Not Jennifer
Jeniffer Hernandez was born and raised in New York City. As a child, she preferred standing by her dad’s VHS camera at family parties to dancing. Film and television helped her learn about American culture at a young age and from that moment on, she couldn’t get enough. As a teen, she found herself drawn to creating videos at any and every opportunity. Whether the video be for class, an internship, or even her grandparents’ 50th wedding anniversary.

Her favorite television show, Jane the Virgin, inspired her to formally seek a career in television production. She received an MFA in Television Production from Brooklyn College.

Inspired by stories of Latinx women, female friendship, and family, she wrote and directed two narrative shorts "A Man Cleans a Toilet" and London."
Her documentary ‘Ramon’ was screened at DOC NYC 2019 and CUNY TV.
She is currently in pre-production for her next narrative short, "Text Ya Later."
